We are delighted to have you here and excited to share our passion for all things sweet.

My name is Amanda Colby, proud owner of Auntie A’s Sweets & Treats. My Husband Jason and I have been married for 22 yrs. We make a great team!  We have 3 wonderful children,1 Grandson and 7 nieces and nephews. We live in the Village of Raymond.

I’m going to share a little on how we got started making freeze dried candy. 

 I am a Hairstylist by trade and have been in the business for over 20 years. My passion in life has been standing behind my chair, building relationships and making my clients feel their best.  

In February 2023, I had been recovering from my 3rd back surgery in 4 years. I had been out of work and missing the relationships that I had built over the years and missed being behind “the chair” connecting with people. 

 Jason had spent months trying to convince me that we needed to invest in a freeze dryer. His intentions were to preserve our garden. I was a bit hesitant. 

A few months had passed and Jason was at it again, trying to convince me that we needed this machine. This time, he showed me some really unique videos of freeze dried candy. I was definitely intrigued. We both looked at each other and said, “ Let’s do it!”

 We got busy experimenting with different candies and started our journey into the world of freeze dried candy making. Having this opportunity to connect with people again has given me a new “purpose” while also providing me the chance to contribute financially to our family again. We are enjoying all the new relationships with both customers and vendors. We are excited to see where this journey leads us! 

A fun fact: Jason’s late Great Grandparents  once owned a Candy store in Union Grove,Wi.
